A week of many different days
Intro to the week
Sunday April 14th
I have been on and off over the past months trying to eat healthier. However, due to work and student life, this just has not been happening π. So I went shopping and it was crazy windy and wet! But I managed to get the shopping done and brought:
I rewarded myself with some Ben and Jerry Cinnamon Bun ice-cream that I keep forgetting I have in the freezer.
Sunday April 14th
I have been on and off over the past months trying to eat healthier. However, due to work and student life, this just has not been happening π. So I went shopping and it was crazy windy and wet! But I managed to get the shopping done and brought:
- Truss cherry tomatoes
- Turkish bread
- 1 fresh corn
- lettuce
- 3 packs of biscuits (they were on special)
- Plain yogurt
- Fresh wet herb pesto type mix
- 1 apple
Out of these ingredients made a cafe style sandwich, using my sandwich press I got a few months ago for the first time. I put way too much tomato on my sandwich (I can only eat a tomato if it is in something). It turned out okay, by halfway through I had to force myself to eat it. But I did manage to eat it all.
I rewarded myself with some Ben and Jerry Cinnamon Bun ice-cream that I keep forgetting I have in the freezer.
It was then time to organise my food for work, normally this is a boring unphotogenic process. However, I was watching a vlog this morning and they had an apple and peanut butter for breakfast and I just thought what a healthy snack. So I cut up my apple with one of them apple cutters and the core is just never fully cut off! But today it was perfect!
Sunday April 15th
Today is my day off. I have a few things to do today. First is my optometrist to get my contacts checked; second is return my work uniform and third is making a start on my last uni assignment before placement- these ones are always the hardest because the end is so near and yet so far.
Last night at work I was thinking about my need to create a schedule for my daily activities. I am always going on about how I never have time for anything and I cannot get a routine going (which is the excuse I use for not exercising and eating really badly). So I made a schedule; which once trialed might need tweaking, but so far I am happy to begin tomorrow using this schedule.
Looking at it now, I really should have a work one for when I do a morning shift. But that doesn't happen too often so I might leave it. I'll see how I feel about it.
Cause I am trying to be more healthy, I made a curried egg with lettuce and tomato on Turkish bread for breakfast. I am used to sweeter things than this, so it was really hard to stomach after the first slice π¬. By adding a little salt I managed to get through the final slice!
The optometrist appointment went well. My eyes are handling wearing contacts amazingly, so I ordered a 6 month supply. Just need to wait for them to come in and then I can start wearing my glasses again. Also while I was there I bought a new top! I have really been trying hard to only buy stuff I will use and/or need. But I have a thing for tartan patterns on logger shirts, but with my chest area being large- it is hard to find ones that fit. But I saw this beauty on the store doll and with it marked down from $35 to $20 I couldn't say no!
I am really happy with this purchase and feel it will be a real timeless piece in my wardrobe.
For dinner, I just had simple sausages, quick roast veg, and some Turkish bread. A bad habit I have is right after a savory meal I will want something sweet. I am avoiding that and had digestive biscuits with lemon and green tea much later.
Monday April 16th
I had planned to get up at 5.45am as per my schedule I made, but due to a much later night than I planned- helping a friend out. I skipped starting my schedule. That was okay, as it was a big day! I had to do curriculum planning with my mentor teacher. Although the day was very insightful it was also very mentally draining.
I did manage to pack myself a healthy lunch and I was so proud of myself for not snacking on the naughty choc-mint biscuits I brought with me. I only ate one! The Turkish bread for my sandwich was very dry π’ so the sandwich wasn't a rewarding meal.
I really wanted to spend the evening on my final HASS assignment but I just was too tired to focus on it properly. So I watched Agents of Sheild and headed to bed.
Tuesday April 17
It is only Tuesday but it feels so much later in the week. It was such a jam-packed day! I woke up to put my foot in my cat's hairball she left for me on my bed- yuk! Despite that, I am super proud of today. It ended up being so productive.
I have discovered that going back to making lists for what I need to do that day/week really motivates me to get things done. I began the day with a 6.10 am walk and it felt really good! I came home and got right onto a uni assignment that has been tying me down.
I had oats, with raisins and cinnamon for breakfast. It wasn't very photogenic.
I did most of my uni work I had planned out on doing, so I had some time to stop by the shops and get a few things. I only needed cat food, kitty litter, and apples but ended up with cake, pasta, and soup as well!
It was time to do another day of programming for my placement for Term 2. My mentor was running late so I took a wee selfie.
We did the maths, child protection, arts outlines today. These books had some really useful worksheets in the. I am absolutely going to buy these when I have some money.
Finally, this is all the clothes I am letting go. It was a hard decision. Especially since some of them I had only recently bought and just did not see myself wearing or found it hard to find something to wear it with and/or to.

After feeling drained of energy, I wanted to take a relaxing drive home and stopped off in one of the small towns and took a small walk around.
I did not plan on it but I took an afternoon nap when I got home. I still felt really meh when I woke up, so I took a shower- but that didn't help much either. I did find the energy to cook myself something small. I used up that dry Turkish bread. I wish it came in smaller loaves so my bread would be fresher for longer. This meal was just leftover corn from the day before and vegetables stir-fried in the juices of sausages- with the sausages mixed through.

We finished earlier today! So I went home and got right into changing the kitty litter. Being consistent with changing the litter has been a weak point of mine. So I am making each Tuesday the kitty litter change over day. Which works well as it also is bin night!
Tuesday night is Hills Hot Meals night, which is a free meal. I head over there for the socialization of it all. This was tonight's meal. Cause I brought a cake today, I decided against having dessert.
Wednesday April 18th
I had do much to do today! First thing I had to do was- Discounted earrings
- Sectioned lunchbox
- Number storybook
- Digestives
- Yogurt
- Toothpaste
- Hair spray
- Pizza sauce
- Chicken drumsticks
Finally, this is all the clothes I am letting go. It was a hard decision. Especially since some of them I had only recently bought and just did not see myself wearing or found it hard to find something to wear it with and/or to.
finish getting ready for house sitting. So this was packing food, toiletries, laptop etc. to take over. I then headed over to the shops to have a look around and buy a few things. I ended up getting only a few extra things that were not on my list to buy.
Halfway through my shopping I realised I didnt have my phone so I raced home to find it. At first I could not find it, turns out I left it outside when I was getting washing powder. I was so worried. I was just about to head over go begin my house sitting when I got a call that my contacts had arrived! So I picked them up on my way. It made a little late but that was no drama. I am excited to now begin wearing my glasses! I had planned on doing some uni work, but that didn't happen as the peopdidn'tdnt leave for 3 hours after I got there so that threw my motivation out of the window. I did manage to sort 4 recipe magazines into my binder. For lunch I had a small magareita pizza.
I was feeling a bit flat and considered having a nap, but instead watched a movie on Netflix. I managed to get some energy back and decided while I waited for my friends to come over I would sort through all of my clothes. It went really well. Better than I expected. I forgot to take a photo of the before But here is what was sorted This is all the bags (plus 3 more Ikea bags which are in use) that had clothes in them.
For the rest of the evening, we just watched movies and my friend made dinner.
Thursday April 19
I didn't do much today apart from some cleaning and heading off to work. I was planning on doing some uni work in the morning but that didn't happen. I struggle to be productive when I am not home. It always seems that when I get myself in the right mindset of wanting to change myself and habits in a positve way I always have to do house sitting 4 days later. And then I get home and well it goes all out the window!

this was my day off so I could comeplete my assignment. my goal was to get it all doen howeverver i had planned what i had wanted to dachieve for that day and achieved it. My friends were supoosed to arrive over at 5pm but didn't get here till nearly 7! we ended up talking and watching netflix.
